[ week one: investigation ]
INVESTIGATION
On Friday morning, you wake up — groggy and uncertain over when you went to sleep, how you went to sleep, and how you got in your bed. Yet, you are in your bed (unless...?) and there is a sense of foreboding in the air. Some people might notice their roommates are not in their beds. Some people might notice their roommates are still sleeping. Let's hope the ones who aren't there just got up a bit earlier than everyone else and aren't, you know, the victim. Or victims.
But the doors are unlocked now and the house is accessible again. Time to go investigating.
HOW THIS WORKS: Below are top levels for every location in the house. Please reply with your character entering or interacting with the location and the mod journal will reply, sharing details over what your character will find in the location. We'll let everyone in the discord know when all points of interest have been found.

[Looks around because he cannot fucking remember what Princess looks like.]

[r. raises her uninjured hand]
That someone was me.

Mister Obikawa, do you remember who I am?

[THUMBS UP.]

If you have need for a name, you may call me Priscilla.

[But for how long...]

[her smile is a bit tight, before it fades]
And I don't know why, either. I fell asleep in my bed, and then woke up in as strange room full of strange devices and rows upon rows of buttons. There was no one else in there, and the devices did not show me any pictures.
I couldn't leave, no matter how hard I tried.

[ a beat, since the injury discussion is happening down thread. ]
If you can. Is it your dominant hand?
no subject
[l. looks down at her hand]
Unfortunately, it is. Though I'm willing to try anyway.

[ the slightest of frowns. ]
When this meeting is over, I'll get you supplies. Even if all you can draw is the vaguest of shapes, it's still a reference.

[ Huh. ]
A-are you okay?

[carefully pulling her wounded hand close]
I'm afraid my fingers may be a bit bruised. . . I had tried to keep the door open so you could all go inside, but it closed rather swiftly despite my best efforts.

[ ... ]
I'll go see if I can find something in a first-aid kit to help with the swelling.

[. . .]
Are you all right?

[ Did she see anything critical, even if it was unrelated to the murder? Never mind why she was in there, if she doesn't remember. ]

[she answers with a small, apologetic smile]
I was the only one there. And it's difficult for me to describe what it was like. . . you know that device, which displayed our profiles? There were many. And many buttons, too.
But the devices were blank, and the buttons did nothing.

Except that they don't do anything. Great. ]
Were there any other doors in there? Or Butterworth-san, for that matter?
no subject
No. Which is strange, because Mister Arisato believed that Mister Butterworth was working in that room earlier in the week.

It was Princess-chan. She was unharmed... until the door slammed on her hand. But she doesn't know how she got there.
