TRIAL
On Saturday morning, around nine am, there will be the sound of a handbell once again calling everyone to gather. This time, to the dining room! The dining room that seems to be... just like new! Like nothing ever happened. Thirteen place settings on each side, twenty-six altogether. Two seats at the ends of the table. PB is already there, sitting at one end of the table and he gives a wave as people gather.
"Time for... the trial! This is where you vote on who is guilty of yesterday's murder. You'll have four hours to discuss and at the end of it, I'll count the votes to see who our killer is. What happens to them next? Well...! Just wait and see."
In a grotesque display of... something, the entire table is filled with food! Charcuterie to be exact. Anyone who was awake very early in the morning will have noticed some mannequins bringing in the food and beverages to the dining table, preparing the charcuterie to be aesthetically pleasing and then disappearing soon after before PB's arrival. There is wine, there are non-alcoholic beverages, there is plain old water. And there are all sorts of fruits and meats and crackers to snack on as your heart desires.
There are mannequins with cameras in the corners of the room to get everything on film. There is also a box next to PB with the word VOTES on the side. There's a stack of paper and some pens next to it. Looks like you're voting the old fashioned way: pen and paper!
And on one of the chairs is a picture of Yves, of course. You know, to mark his absence.
Once everyone is in the dining room, a mannequin will appear to close the dining room door and... lock it. Looks like you're stuck in here too.
Something something, you're not locked in here with PB, PB is locked in here with you.
